I have to say I looked at the first painting and just thought - ugh, too frothy, not for me. But your analysis made me look again and more carefully so thank you for the education! xGillian Roehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05080123177116154219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7270442039937122804.post-27768305402353162122013-05-27T10:00:51.382+01:002013-05-27T10:00:51.382+01:00I've been dithering over buying a dressmaker&#...I've been dithering over buying a dressmaker's dummy but the price of them put me off because I'm not an avid dressmaker. And your very own Miss Pompadour is tres sophisticate! I love the pearl chocker - would make a good alice band perhaps? I've been using Flora again this week - trying to make a dress without a pattern. She's not as glamorously accessorised as yours although son no. 4 did put a crown on her recently which was quite fetching. I hope that you and she enjoy many happy creative hours together. I know this is going to sound ever-so-slightly-strange - but I think you'll find that she becomes quite a harsh taskmaster at times. Sometimes I imagine Flora saying to me "I think you could have done that a bit better, don't you?" or "Do you really think I'm going to go out in that?!"
